Sorry about your hubby's job catch-up.... but on the bright side you DO say he wasnt happy there and he has brilliant qualifications to get another... so it sounds like a blessing in disguise. I do so hope his next job is one where he is genuinely valued and happy.
hey
WELCOME SERENDIPNIK nice to hear from you. Please dont lurk. We love having fresh opinions.
I dont think its the growth of population/jobs available rate that is the problem... as every country is geared to run its economy on this rate... more people actually MAKE more jobs to service the growth of population. And its a constant arguement as to the optimum rate... you can actually get degrees and more just STUDYING this particular subject. There are always plenty of jobs scrubbing out sh*thouses... in fact most of the certified millionaires in the world are actually in the sanitation field... (not DOING the scrubbing but hiring the people who do the scrubbing). As we in the western world become better educated we expect a higher rate of pay and a more cerebral type of employment. We also expect that we should have wall to wall carpet, annual holidays, two cars, and a home to park them in front of as the basic level of existance. And most of the population believe that you just
cannot survive without both people working full hours plus overtime.
In a huge part of the world one would think they have won the lottery if they are allowed to scavenge from a "better" part of the garbage tip.

Just keep swimming... just keep swimming.. just keep swimming....
