Saw The Hobbit yesterday. Brilliant film, excellent acting, special effects & lovely scenery. :clap:

It is rather long though & I had to rush to the loo when it finished.

It is also a noisy film.

Watched Dark Shadows with Johnny Depp last night. Best I can say is that it was cute. I couldn't exactly recommend it though.

I did get a chance to see a few movies on the holidays.

Life of Pi - I think the only beloved book/movie adaptation I've ever seen where I've felt joyful. Loved it.

Moonrise Kingdom - Movie heaven for me.

Les Miserables - Well, this has Oscar written all over it. Deservedly so.

Death Becomes Her - Sempre Vive! Live Forever! I forgot how good this movie is.

Dark Shadows was... well, not the worst movie I've ever seen cause I have other nominees for that one, but it's pretty close. I had this feeling as if Tim Burton had too much money and thought, "ah, well, I can aswell spend it on some good times with me pal Johnny... what genre? Well... let's say all of'em!" Also, the dialogues felt really forced and that werwolf girl at the end was just ridiculous

Course, if you feel otherwise, that's fine by me

Have to agree with you mC. I don't remember any of it really making me laugh, maybe smile a little. And yes, the werewolf at the end - how random was that?! I usually love the Tim Burton/Johnny Depp movies, but this one fell far short. Glad you enjoyed it though Dug. That's worth £5.
