RIP Rita Levi Montalcini

Postby CrysaniaMajere » Mon Dec 31, 2012 8:50 am

Rita Levi Montalcini died yesterday in Rome at 103 years, and was still working. A great scientist, a very strong woman. ... .html?_r=0

"I think my brain is basically the same as it was when I was 20. [...] I don't see very well, at a conference I can't see the projections and I can't hear very well. But I think more now then when I was 20. The body can do what it wants.
I'm not the body. I'm the brain."

She was born in 1909, she was a hebrew who lived through 2 world wars, won a nobel prize in medicine in 1986, worked in Torino, Firenze, Missouri, Roma.

Long full productive life indeed. RIP.
Of all the forces in the universe, the hardest to overcome is the force of habit. Gravity is easy-peasy by comparison.
