We got a little snow a couple of days ago which is almost gone now. Might get some today.

The rain has now been so bad for so long they have put the flood barriers up in town and evacuated 33 of the riverside cottages. It looks like a long wet Christmas here in Ironbridge as they are expected to stay up and the main road closed for at least a week.

It's a bit dreich here for a Christmas eve bloody rain, lucky we are a bit high up so we won't get flooded.

We have the calm after the storm today. The interisland ferries are running again so Mr Selkie can get out and collect the Selklets from town (and a few last minute supplies

). It's been very windy and rainy but I'm just grateful that we didn't have flooding. I think to be flooded out, especially at this time of year, would just be devastating.

My heart goes out to all of you that are affected by flooding, I've heard on the news that the South East is the worst hit, there are even flood warnings in Nottinghamshire, But Have the best Christmas that you can under the circumstances and hop it gets better soon, It's finally stopped raining here with showers predicted tomorrow Good Luck

A day late but we have snow! Today, I don't mind so much*, we have plenty of supplies and I have my family home. It's looking a bit Christmassy out there

*I may retract this statement if it carries on beyond today though

We got enough snow to have a white Christmas Eve and Christmas.

I'll be fine if it melts tomorrow though.
