Discworld Ultra-Book

Postby SarahDW93 » Wed Dec 19, 2012 11:34 pm

How would everyone feel about a massive Discworld book--an anthology almost--sold in ebook and paper format? It would hold ALL of the Discworld books. Any thoughts?

Hi Sarah. Can I ask why you're asking? Is this market research? Cos I'd normally ask for a biscuit and fifty quid for that ;)
What's up with this glass? Excuse me? Excuse me? This is my glass? I don't think so. My glass was full! And it was a bigger glass!

You'd need a reaaaaalllly big book shelf!

In print not a particularly practical idea. You're talking something thousands of pages long, unless you made the type so small it was barely legible. In E-book form this would be a better idea.

Would still be a huge document, though.

And far too expensive to contemplate for most people, not to mention the weight it would be.

Like a Discworld bible? "Please turn to the Book of Eric, Chapter 2, Verse 5."

oh you little.... that was MY idea! well, as long as the idea of it is "out there" that doesn't really matter. Thinking about it though, in paper form the whole thing would probably be too heavy (and big) but I don't know, perhaps it could be all the books in one giant slipcase? 6 books wide perhaps... I for one don't have a bookcase so I keep all my books in a big black box, getting one out to read is a bit of a hassle (keeps them safe and off the floor though) so I doubt any publisher and whatnot would actually make this thing a reality.
Well, you know what they say. The past is a foreign country - - With an outdated military and huge oil reserves!
