Plumber finally rang tonight. He is replacing the whole gas hot water system. Yay. Yay. Yay.

My heart was in my mouth there for a bit when they said they were replacing it... last time that subject came up the landlord was going to put in a tiny tiny electric tank that would have only held enough for one very quick shower.

Should have hot water tomorrow night. Yay. So over boiling the kettle. Mind you... it was 39c at our house today.

My laptop is misbehaving and I don't know how to solve the problem. More frustrating still, nor does anyone on the Gentoo forums, as it seems.
It's only a software problem, so I could just go and reinstall, but I'd rather avoid that since it's quite tedious work.

Ugh. Helping with the kitchen remodel and I just had to wash pink brick dust out of my hair and scrub blotches of foam caulking off my face. I think I may be excused from future work.

A guy emailed me yesterday, saying he was in London (he lives in Greece - retired) and would pop into the office "between 10 and 11am) to hand over his paperwork & cheque to join the Society.

Still waiting at 12.05.

What's the betting he turns up (if at all) when I'm scarfing down my chile con carne for luncheon?

Apparently, his brother's car broke down.

He's now back in Athens.

Got up this morning..got H off to her last day of school... Morgan is backtracked and sick again and needed a shower... no hot water!!!

Needed to get ready for work as.I had an early start and a long way to tavel.. raced up to get more gas .. fitted the tank.. ran around to light the flame and there wa s water gushing out of the gas system .

And i had ten minutes to get on the freeway.. very quick icy shower.. got dressed.. rang rental agency...

Got home late because of traffic... water still cascading out of the hot water system.. no plumber had been obviously... so still.no hot water.

And I won't be here tomorrow...Saturday.. no plumber Sunday... IF I need plumber and not a gas fitter

After I came out of the cinema tonight 7:30ish I was passing the 24 hour Tesco popped in to get some shopping as I was there went to the self service waited in the queue, shop assistant came up and pointed and mumbled I went over it was out of order, then she said the queue was over there for all service, there are at least 20 odd check outs for trollies 6 self service and 2 for hand baskets I went and waited a little while then got pissed off six checkouts open I put down the basket and walked out place was packed with people waiting. I wonder how many more did the same I saw one full trolley left.

Geez Dug, sorry that happened. I would probably have done the same thing.

There are another three supermarkets around here two I could pass on the way back with just a couple of minutes detour Catch up, but it is annoying when you have spent time filling a basket then waiting just to leave with nothing, must be a lot of hassle for staff to put it all back.

PS can you log on to the C.A's forum OK as I can't since the upgrade to the yucky colour.

I was having some problems but they seem to be fixed now.
