My favourite non-Terry books have to be the Stephanie Plum stories, by Janet Evanovich.

I must have spent easily a week trying to figure out what I would put in here. Finally, I plumped for a two parter by Stephen King and Peter Straub. The Talisman and it's long awaited follow up, Black House are my choice(s) for adult novels.

As a child, my favourite book was the prequel to Redwall by Brian Jacques, Mossflower. Since I'm unable to read and enjoy them again as an adult, except when reading to them to my niece while we babysit, I've gone for one I can still read as an adult, as well. Coraline, by Neil Gaiman.

The Redwall books are great fun - and I actually only read them (to myself) as an adult when Sharlene recommended them a couple of years ago.

I have to confess that I sometimes read them out loud here at home so I can do the accents. :lol:

Wind In The Willows Kenneth Grahame

Will ALWAYS be my favourite over-all book - nothing I've read has overtaken this one.

It's my friend Lorraine's favourite book as well. I've tried to get her to read the Redwall books as they are somewhat similar (only with more battles :lol:

) but she hasn't been persuaded yet.

The Sookie Stackhouse series by Charlaine Harris is great! Her other books are really good too.

I haven't seen it either, we don't have HBO. But, I just put a hold on the first season at the library. I have mixed feelings about watching it. Sometimes that can really ruin the way you visualize the stories.

Another great series is The Dresden Files by Jim Butcher.
