My new watch came today, as I had lost my other one on the way through airport security it had no strap on it as I could not find a blue leather one to match the face colour so that was the push I needed to buy the one which had been on my wishlist for ages :D

I can't wear watches with hands. For some reason they stop when I'm wearing them. I have to wear digital ones. :D

My dad had the same problem.

Turned out that his body gave off too much electricity, and it buggered up a wind-up watch.

He changed to battery ones, and was fine.

It's a Skagen Chris Danish maker really slim I wanted one for quite a while, also Titanium body and mesh strap nickel free and its the model I wanted, prefer them with the minutes showing on the face got it for nearly half price so really happy with it, and it will not rot like the leather ones do with all the sweat in the warm weather, took me a few minutes to adjust the strap and how to fasten it instruction photo's were very small. :D

I have another watch I would like to get fixed needs new glass and it wont wind, but the estimate I got for it was a lot more than it cost but that was quite a few years ago I was given the watch.

Different model but I was thinking about that one until I seen mine love at 1st sight, apparently the replacement batteries are difficult to fit and should be done by a specialist stockist or sent back to the service centre.

My dream job (astrobiologist) would take me to both of those places (probably not space, but I would get to work with space rocks and that would be cool too)
What's up with this glass? Excuse me? Excuse me? This is my glass? I don't think so. My glass was full! And it was a bigger glass!

You just reminded me of the Big Bang episode where Howard goes to space camp.

Oh chris .... let me get a bucket for the drooling....

That's so tempted me to buy online. Gorgeous pieces. The Russian ones have a steam punk feel to them.

Dug... I love Skagen watches. An elegant sophisticated timepiece. Seriously slim. That's what I love about it. You are going to love wearing it. (Gods.. I am in spruiker mode) Have to admit I love promoting them. I bought a skagen-like one last year. Love the mesh band too. Just realised I haven't worn it for ages. Can't think where it is either. Hmmm. Blast. I never misplace my watches.
Just keep swimming... just keep swimming.. just keep swimming....
