I adore Pyramids, but you'll find that you, me, and a former poster named Pooh are about the only ones who do!

Personally I think Maskerade is hilarious. And I giggle every time I read The Sea and Little Fishes (but that's a short story technically). And Unseen Academicals, of course, that was a treat )))

Maskerade cracks me up too - Nanny serving the pudding! But TFE is right up there for me, Igor having to take all them heads off the wall in the middle of the night and Vimes' continuing anger all the way through

The single funniest Discworld? Well, the first one I ever read was Wyrd Sisters. Discovering it on the bookstall in the sort of tiny seaside village in Norfolk where nothing ever happens and I was dying of cabin fever.... oh, this was joy. I still think of it more fondly than the rest even now, 23 years on....

For sheer number of laugh out loud moments I would have to go with 'Moving Pictures' (playing a game of 'spot the reference' was quite amusing as well).

I'm sure I miss most of the references and jokes, being non-native English speaker and not having seen that many movies... So by far my favourite moment in Discworld Novels is, in my opinion, a timeless classic..

It's when Otto Chriek first complains about Ankh Morpork lightning and thunderstorms not knowing when to be dramatic and end his sentences with a flash of light and rumble and then sometime later:

'Right, lads,' said the dwarf, 'here's how it works. Every man who goes home early tonight 'cos of a headache gets a hundred dollars, all right? It's an old Klatchian custom.'

'And what happens if we don't go?' said the foreman, picking up a mallet.

'Vell,' said a voice by his ear, 'that's ven you get a... headache,'

There was a flash of lightning and a roll of thunder. Otto punched the air triumphantly.

'Yes!' he shouted, as the printers ran madly towards the doors. 'Ven you really, really need it, zere it is! Let's try vunce more... Castle!' The thunder rolled again. The vampire jumped up and down excitedly, vest tails flying. 'Vow! Now ve are cooking! Vunce more mit feelink! Vot a big... castle...' The thunder was even louder this time.

Otto did a little jig, beside himself with joy, tears running down his grey face.

'Music viz Rocks In!' he yelled.
