RIP Sir Patrick Moore

Postby Tonyblack » Sun Dec 09, 2012 1:42 pm

Very sad news about a TV and science icon. :(

Sir Patrick Moore, astronomer and broadcaster, dies aged 89

I was watching Sky at Night the other day and thought how frail he was looking. And I saw him briefly in the background of that Voyager documentary they did on the BBC the other day.

I think they have been slowly getting together a regular team on TSAN for when this happened, so at least his memory will live on.

RIP Sir Patrick. You inspired generations to look beyond Earth and into the Heavens. :(

Damn, I knew he was getting on, but...that's...a hefty loss.

He will be missed in the astronomy circles, I first seen this in twitter as Pterry posted it.

RIP Sir Patrick.

He'll really be missed but what a legacy he's left

A very sad loss, I grew up watching The Sky At Night and also thought how frail he looked in the most recent program.

Never seen this "sky at night" everyone is talking about but I think it's a shame that someone who is rememberd so much is dead, guy must have been a decent bloke.
