Frustration Thread 4

Frustration: Right after I shoveled out buckets of money for a new roof (been putting it off way too long) I got laid off. I sure wish I had that money back! But then, to add insult to injury, I started having electrical problems, so I hired an electrician. Then my water heater died, so I had a new one installed, and now my car needs a new radiator! I was in decent shape before all this!

Ouch! It never rains but it pours. Sorry you are going through such a crappy time and I hope things get better real soon. *HUGS*

Well life sure has thrown it all at you in one go Jo, hope you get a new job soon.

Just took Thing 1 to the doctor. She's had a cough for about 2 weeks, but has otherwise felt fine. But this week the cough is much worse. It's so persistent that I had to pick her up from school earlier this week, she couldn't get any work done. The verdict is that it's viral and we have to wait it out. Really glad there are no signs of infection. I feel so sorry for her though. The minute the cough medicine wears off she's coughing so hard she's practically choking.

I know. It's kept her up nights as well. There are a couple of other awful things going around the schools that I'm desperately hoping we avoid. I think these milder winter temps make the germs more prevalent. Don't get me wrong, I hate being cold and scraping ice off the car, but I'll take that over the germs.

I do hope Thing 1 gets rid of her cough soon, I found sitting up in bed helps till you fall asleep helps.

Hope she's getting better catchup . Morgan is getting there. The choking cough has lessened and she is getting sleep.

Good cough tip.... drink a hot drink... hot water even.. it calms the diaphragm and can stop the cycle... and a hot water bottle or heat pack to the diaphragm works too.... too hot here for that one.

Jo: Look on the bright side hun ... you have a brilliant new roof and a boiler that you know are in great working order for the winter. Roof is an important thing. And if it fails then youbwould be up for oodles more money. And pat yourself on the back when you take a gorgeous hot shower.
