THE FEAR
Monday (TONIGHT!) 3rd December
10pm
Channel Four

The Fear is an ambitious Channel 4 drama project, which digs beneath the surface of the seaside town of Brighton to expose the town's murky underworld, dominated by Peter Mullan's Richie Beckett, a crime boss battling dementia.

The dark and gloomy thriller tracks Richie's downfall across four nights this week, as his empire begins to crumble along with his mind after the arrival of Albanian gangsters on his patch.

Also boasting solid turns from the likes of Richard E Grant, Paul Nicholls and Harry Lloyd, The Fear is Boardwalk Empire for us Brits, with the added twist of having an enemy more destructive than any mobster.

THE TOWN
Wednesday 5th December
9pm
ITV1

A family tragedy compels Sherlock's Andrew Scott to return to the town where he grew up in this new ITV drama, but things aren't exactly how he remembered them.

Ten years since he went away, his loved ones are now under the thumb of an alcoholic mayor, played by Martin Clunes, and someone keeps sending him texts saying "I know".

Needless to say this trip home will be one that ole Moriarty will never forget.

Don't invest too much in it, Dug. Cancelled by the US network about a fortnight after it was announced by ITV2.

It had bad ratings in the US, and the sets were demolished by Hurricane Sandy (up to 4ft of water up the studio walls, so I understand), and then it was a No Brainer for the network.

From what I've read on various sites, it starts slow and is now getting REALLY good, but has only a few episodes left.

I not talking about buying the DVD Bouncy I got time to spare watching it, I know it had been cancelled but if it's anything like Once upon a time or Grimm it will be OK for me.

Grimm/Once, that is fine, but 666 is cancelled.

Apparently, the network gave them time to finish 666, which is great considering the cliff hangers that the viewer has been left with on many a show.

Some of these I won't see due to not having the channel access, but the new ones showing on the SYFY and the ones coming look quite good.
