In Jasper Fforde's books the English have taxed cheese so highly that very few people can afford it, so there's a black market in cheese smuggling from The Socialist Republic of Wales.

Black Bomber is really good stuff. There are a whole range of them, made in Snowdonia (by Snowdonia Cheese). I've had the Green Thunder and the Red Devil - both of which are excellent and the Red Devil will blow your socks off!

You can buy them online.

I always take cheeses over to Arizona with me as it's difficult to get anything with a bit of 'bite' to it over there.

There's a cheese I get for some of the locals (go figure!) when I'm down there, called Godminster.

Last time down I got one with ginger in it for Mike, and one with malt whisky for his wife, Marilyn.

It dawned on me in the early hours, when I couldn't sleep, that if they grated half and half, they could have whisky and ginger on toast!!

I had some really great beer and garlic cheese once. No one would talk to me for ages.

Its adapted from an image I found, but I needed to change a few bits (some of the spacings, loops and leaves) to make it possible to burn the image properly.

Went to the Just Kampers open day yesterday. It was bloomin' freezing but great fun. JK put on a free BBQ, free hot chocolate and free mince pies, along with loads of things for the kids to do such as colouring, making christmas decorations, decorating gingerbread men etc. All they asked was a few coins in the tin for Help For Heroes. Nice to meet up with some fellow VW nutters Also nice to see a company doing its bit for the VW community and charity.
