South Eastern trains and the memory of the Wrong Kinda Snow.

Sorry. I think in this part of the world we have had the wrong kind of rain as there are currently about 13 landslips between Exeter and Plymouth buggering up the trains. Exeter to London is also still suffering because of water damage to signals and lineside equipment appart from washed away tracks.

Love the poem, Cheery!

We don't have snow yet... I don't know if we'll get any! We used to have lots of snow, in November already, but it's getting less and less the last couple of years... :(

I'm glad so many people liked my little poem. :D And that nobody mentioned that it is clears, not cleares... (My inner teacher cringed when she finally noticed!!)

Right now it's around 0°C here and I'm trying to get my head around the idea that it is HOT now where you are, Del. I've been online friends with Aunty for some years now, and every year she gardens when I'm sitting inside and looking out of the window and the other way round. And I've been to New Zealand and KNOW everything is upside down there, but I still find it hard to imagine you sweating while I'm freezing sometimes.

Wellbits the same for us too Cheery . Though I have to admit when you lot go on about basking in the summer and I am raving about freezing my butt off... a world round up of weather reminds me our winter is about the same as your summer. Aunty V though is far closer to the south pole than I amband they do get far colder down there.

Guess I identify weather wise more with Q who lives not far from me.. and Sister Jen who although in the same state lives more than a 'UK' length away. Brisbane gets humid... but nowhere seems as humid as Rockhampton where she is.

So it's never aboutthe numbers here in Oz... its the humidity that changes all the numbers.

Thinking about Aunty Her state Victoria got hit with some massive damaging storms last night.

I loved your poem too Cheery...it's like that here when it rains. Rain isn't that rare here...so why do we all have to freak out about it on the road and start driving into each other?!

As for recent heat and storms, my little dot on the map has missed the worst excesses of both, so all good here :)

Glad to hear you missed it AV .

Extra five minutes... score! We had to do the same thing here today Alanz ... I had left my car in the sun so had to leave the doors open to let the heat escape before we could get in.

Well after thinking we might get cut off by floods it turns out that the rain had an extra trick in store. The gorge is really unstable and the rain has brought a couple of tons of rock down on one of the roads out of here. It does at least make my choice of supermarket shopping easier on Monday as I can only get to 1 of the 3 possible choices within 8 miles
One of those? Oh I'm sure I have one somewhere..
