I come from a more mountainous area and am used to lots of snow in winter. Every year it totally amazes my how normal life comes to a standstill as soon as there's just the tiniest amount of it here. I mean, it seems as if people are totally surprised by it - every single year!
What's that white stuff? What is it doing here? Is the sky falling down? PANIC!!

Reminds me of Pres Obama when Washington closed it's schools for snow... "What? This smattering ? We come from Chicago!!!"

I am wondering how Aunty Vague got on. Her state Victoria has had temps of over 40c and up to 45 !!!

Its moving our way . Its hot already but not bad. 33 today. But the humidity is only around 50% so it's okay. Next week heading towards high 30's. Worried about Hayden . Idiot teachers had them on the freaking sports oval this afternoon. Grrrrr

Heatwave is our lead news story and they are going to be walking them next Tuesday. I want to keep her home but they are having rehearsal for graduation that day.... WALKING? I am so upset!

I don't know weather (Ha!) or not to put this on the Frustration thread, but...............

.... This is the UK (my bit of it, England).

We've had bad weather before over the years (absolute shocker!), so WHY THE FRACK are our trains being cancelled in the morning for "bad rail conditions" ?
