Last week found a copy of Nation in paperback in a second hand bookshop for £2.50p It's in very good condition as well.

I'm probably going to annoy people here, but I was in a charity shop yesterday and they had three hardback, first edition Pratchetts: Interesting Times, Wee Free Men and Going Postal for £5 each. The thing was it was buy one get one free, so I could have got two of them for £2.50 each.

But I didn't as I already have all three as first editions.

I found a shop in Durham who had Hardbacks but they wanted up to £11 for one book, I didn't bother as i only collect paperbacks. But good find anyway

I have gotten every discworld book from the same charity shop in town

Only need a few more, might have to buy the others from the internet as it's getting a bit too much like russian roulette.

I know what you mean nothing one day then three come all at once, That happened to me recently went into a second hand shop and nothing, then went in again the day after and there were three of them, couldn't believe it

I sometime wonder what happened when you suddenly see a whole bunch of Pratchetts. Did the owner die and his/her family got rid of them? Did his/her spouse get rid of them in a fit of jealously? That's the sort of thing my ex would have done.

I just can't imagine myself saying: I'm fed up of all these Pratchett book lying around attracting dust - I think I'll take them to a charity shop.

Maybe a birthday comes along and people buy books they already have. They keep the new ones and dump the tattered ones in the charity shops.

It should be illegal to pass on discworld books, even if you have 5 of each.

I try and keep my books in as good condition as i can, I suppose i'm lucky that so far the books that i've bought second hand are in pretty good condition anyway if they are a bit used it adds to their charm i think, as long as they are not in too bad a state
