I loved the Red Dwarf X, it felt so familiar but at the same time each episode had something outstanding in it! :D

Spoiler: show
I loved Kryten and Cat's synchronised talking. And the end with Rimmer had me and my missus gasping and laughing and cheering alternately for ages. I agree with Q, will just make him a bigger ego than before.

I don't mind if this is the end, but I'd love there to be more!

Some are born great, some achieve greatness and some have greatness thrust upon them.

The rest of us are a bit crap.

BTW, I watched Lemons last night. Much funnier than the past two episodes, still a bit of a letdown, but getting back up to the standard of prior Red Dwarf episodes.

Really enjoyed Red Dwarf X, especially the last episode. :D
Spoiler: show
Loved Hogey and his 'Duels Across Time And Space'.

Doug Naylor posted on Twitter that it was pretty much certain that there would be another series so long as the DVD for Red Dwarf X sells well and BBC Worldwide get their investment back. :)

Watched Entangled. Good episode, but the always-wrong professor was annoying as [EFF!].

On another note, I'm beginning to wonder whether a new series is a good idea at all. Red Dwarf X is far from the nadir that was Back to Earth (which was good, but didn't feel like Red Dwarf to me), but I think the show is getting tired. The spirit is willing, but the rest of the show... :|

I enjoyed the season overall. Not all of the episodes worked for me, but the same goes for all the seasons of the original series.

I thought The Beginning was one of the best Red Dwarf episodes ever though. Really funny, and a good story. :D At the risk of overhyping it for those who haven't seen it. I felt like there was a bit of 'saving the best for last' about it. :)

Watched Dear Dave. Not too bad, the vending machines were annoying, but the climax of the vending machine subplot was absolutely hilarious, reminding me of the 'shrinking boxer shorts' scene from Polymorph. "You'll bonk anything, won't you Lister?" Nice ending too. :D

Thanks to Red Dwarf X coming out on DVD early, watched The Beginning. If only the rest of the series was like this one, then the show would definitely be back on its feet. Didn't like the classroom scene at the beginning, but otherwise, a good show.

Yes, though he got a bit annoying. The pseudo-Italian accent helped make the character less annoying and more funny, surprisingly.

One of my favourite bits from the first episode, Trojan. Not just the gag of 'a moose!', but also Rimmer having a resentment crash at the end.

Personally, I've rather enjoyed it. Consistency was never a strong point with RD, there was always something pretty duff along the way and it was always inclined to take a joke a bit too far past its illogical conclusion, but it was always worth watching on the whole.

I love Back To Earth, mostly for the Blade Runner jokes... although the Coronation Street stuff was funny, too.

But I'd say it's time to call time at the end of RDX.
