Congrats to Ava!

What made me smile is thinking about last week. I had the perfect birthday week, and Friday was the best of it all!
We had our usual filmclub here at my place with people from my fav chocolate shop, but all week people have been cancelling (one had to look after her parents' house, the other was ill, another had to go to a party... ), so I was a bit dissappointed, but was looking forward to it anyway
So one guy came earlier, cause he was cooking dinner, and some others came eventually, and then I heard a knock on the door, which was weird, because you have to go through a gate first downstairs to get into the building but there was no ring, so I thought it was one of the neighbours complaining or something, so I carefully opened the door... and there they were! All of them! With 20 balloons and a HUGE cake shaped like a CELLO! A masterpiece, beautiful! Even with duch text saying Happy Birthday I was totally astonished and couldn't find the words, it was so unexpected! But I was really happy.
And funny thing is, I already had a cello shaped cake on Thursday, made by two friends of mine, which was also really yummie
I guess it's worth it, turning 20

Just sat at Manchester Piccadilly station thinking over the weekend.
Those that have been to events such as the Con or Wincanton will be able to relate.
I'm on a small gamers forum, only about 20 active members so its quite close knit. Sadly, a member died suddenly about a month ago so we decided to have a meet up in his memory. Its was a lot of fun, meeting up with people you have something in common with but haven't met before (apart from a couple of them a few years ago for me) and one of the guys wrote a small speech. The words were very well put together and we toasted him. One of the other members couldn't make it so sent a fairly large sum of money for us to do this.

So, strangers at first and then friends, some people really make me smile.

And now to recover from this hangover.
