Coloured lakes are usually due to bacteria, archaea or algae. I know they say it's not that, but I can't find any evidence of any research being done ever, which is unusual Maybe it goes by another name.

I probably would - doesn't look as if crocodiles, snakes, sharks or jellyfish lived in there.

I once went swimming in a lake that was bright turquoise (can't remember where exactly) due to minerals - the water was GREAT!

Oh, I almost forgot! My first crested tit! Ever! It later came back to our garden TWO MORE TIMES!Yay!
