Meditations of Brutha - Music

Postby engineeringsimon » Sun Nov 11, 2012 12:00 pm

Hi Everyone,

I wrote some more music inspired by Brutha in Small Gods.

I am very fortunate that the amazing michelanCello played the cello part on this. She is cool.

The piece is called Meditations of Brutha : http://soundcloud.com/engineeringsimon/mob

P.S. I updated the links to the re-recorded version. The 1st version is here.

I was thinking of renaming the piece to "The Last Believer". Any other ideas?

Sounds a bit dramatic, doesn't it? ;)

We could call it "Meditation on the awesomeness of Mici's cello playing"

That's amazing - the best yet! The combination of instruments is really good and that cello really adds a certain gravitas.

Thanks everyone for the kind comments. It is pretty cool that michelanCello and I can put this together despite being on opposite sides of the world.

It is also awesome that my little hobby / experiments / self education can be combined with an excuse to read the Discworld books and actually find a bunch of people on this forum who actually get what I am trying (perhaps in vain) to represent with music.
