Those are fabulous! Love the lines of the Civic Hall and the way you have it framed in the photo.

Thanks all! :D There was quite a bit of work using techniques I had never tried before (as well as quite a bit of experimenting) so I'm fairly pleased with the results. Unfortunately, the individual shots don't seem to show up too well, being a bit small, but if you want to see a blown up version then click on the link below. :D

I will ask him again Penners. I don't normally ask him for anything more than twice, so I don't get accused of being a nag. (Often that means that things go wrong/break down/start leaking etc, but then I just gently remind him it was his job :D ) Great pics BTW!

But you won't be asking for yourself Dotsie, you will just be asking on behalf of all us here. (That doesn't count as nagging. ) ;) :D

I got the results back and I'm glad it wasn't a serious competition (although if it was I would have worked more on the pics). The solitary tree scored only 14 and came last, while the other two fared slightly better with the church scoring 16 and the Civic Hall 17. It was quite good fun and useful in that I hadn't used any of the techniques before so I definitely learned a few things. :D

This Thursday is one of the seasons major events with Worthing participating in a prestigious team competition. One of my photos has been selected to represent the club (the solarized boat one) and I am worried that I might let the side down; it has done great with some judges and bombed with others who don't like that style so it will all depend on the judge's personal taste. :D

OUCH!!!! I just got back from the comp and finished last in my round with a score of 14 out of 20. The judge did say that it was the type of picture that would polarise opinion in that some would love it and others would hate it with no middle ground in-between, and he was not disparaging about it either; just that it was up against the best in Sussex. (It was still quite an achievement getting there in the first place, so I'm not upset).

As a team we finished joint seventh out of ten so we did not come last!

Don't worry about it, Penners. People's taste is so subjective... we know you're the best! ;)

Clearly these people know nothing! Bunch of amateurs!

I asked Mr Dotsie again BTW. He said "what, like my Flickr account?" and I said "If you like". Then he moved on... Sorry! I'll badger him for you ;)
