can anyone see any of our politicians living this sort of life.

His views on over consumption and economies based on constant growth are very interesting.

While he doesn't live that sort off lifestyle, I do have a lot of respect for Dennis Skinner (aka The Beast of Bolsover). I met him many years ago at a Labour Party conference and rather than stay at the hotel with the others at the party's expense, he paid for his own stay at a cheap bed and breakfast. When he came to give a talk at a Worthing Labour Party meeting, he travelled by second class rail (again at his own expense). A very friendly, charming (unless your a Tory, of course), and articulate man.
