Unseen Academicals Football Match Team Registration

Postby Lynsey Dearheart » Mon Aug 24, 2009 4:32 pm

Hello All,

I am back again! I have been organising the football match with Bernard (or Bernard has been organising and I have been watching!) on the 10th October.

I am the lady who will be sorting out the football teams and other arrangements. Its great to see so many of you wanting to take part. Of course supporters are just as important as players so we need plenty of them aswell!

There will have to be a limit on fan teams I'm afraid, otherwise we'll be there for a week! If you are interested in taking part - as in actually donning your football boots and playing - please send me an email at the address below. Each team will need at least five players - preferably more so no one gets too tired!

I'll be posting more news when I have extra details!

Hey Lyndsey, great to see you here again. I saw a photo of you recently on the film set of Going Postal - although I'm sure that was a Dis-Organiser you were holding and not a mobile phone.

I won't be able to make it to Wincanton for the match as I'll be in Tucson, Arizona, but I urge anyone who can get there to do so. You'll have a great time with like-minded people* and get to meet Terry as well.

Wincanton is twinned with Ankh-Morpork and over the years the locals there have come to get used to people walking around in costumes.

As I said on another thread - it's quite easy to get to Wincanton and there's even a bus service from London that takes you to the High Street.

*Nutters.

If only I lived in England. :( If I start swimming now, do you think I could make it? :)

I'd love to come and watch, but I'm not a great footballer. You should invite an Orangutan :!:

I think the teams are pretty much chosen now, but you could always go along and support. It should be a great day. :D

Huh! Google Map used to have a thing where if you asked it to get directions from New York to London it had you diving in the Atlantic and swimming there via France. Miserable buggers seem to have removed that now.
