I'm feeling very proud of my little girl after yesterday's parents evening. The teachers said she was a joy to teach and just wants to learn everything She's also had a rough time recently with anxiety and panic attacks. The teachers commented though that she had been soooooooo much better in the last few weeks. We have been working hard to help her deal with the attacks and she does seem to be getting better at dealing with them Thank you to the Catchup for the super book she sent to help. It really has been a sanity saver and has worked wonders in helping H deal with the attacks. We have our smiley little girl back

Now just mentally preparing for Ds parents evening later in the week - I have a feeling that one won't be as smooth ......once I start telling them what I think of recent events

CatchUp: Bad bad girl!!!! Do not google medical stuff! Glad you went to the doctors and its only a pulled muscle. And glad Ava is doing better too. Showering well hugs over the pond.

Chilli: You go get 'em mate! My 13 year old daughter is sitting at the table as we speak doing her times tables over and over and over! Argh! I spoke to them about this and we agreed she does NOT have the capacity to count let alone multiply and that time would be better spent developing her skills using a calculator.... but do they do it? Nooooo.... "Its in the curriculum!" She had Japanese lessons tomorrow..... silly me for spending the last nine years teaching her to TALK with a speech therapist let alone speak Japanese! Schools! I tell you! Great news about H though. We have a unit here that looks after the Carers of disabled kids... a few years ago they started a group for siblings of kids with a disability. You would be suprised how much it impacts on the other kids in the family in different ways.

I didn't google it!! I swear I didn't! Although, I have to say, googling symptoms was the way we finally figured out what was going on with Ava. But, as a general rule, no googling medical things!

Sorry the school is not meeting H's needs. Sometimes it's like your words fall into some sort of black hole.
