She's sleeping in thankfully. Thing 2 seemed totally fine this morning, so I sent her to school. Which is almost a guarantee that I will get a call to come pick her up. Of course if I'd kept her home, that would be a guarantee that she'd be fine. :roll:

Big hugs for everyone needing them. Might need a few later as my spaniel is very poorly. I'm taking him to the vet at 4 o'clock and will probably come home alone. Oh dear.

Big changes in my life! I've been laid off after ten years on a job I really enjoyed. But the job was really doing a bad number on my spine since an injury a few years ago, so the down-time is a blessing - a chance to rest and recover and read a whole lot more. It took 5 weeks for unemployment insurance to find its way to my bank account, and it's about 2/3 what I was earning. But my pain is so much less now that I think I may just flat out retire and learn to make do with less.
I may not have gone where I intended to go, but I think I have ended up where I needed to be.
