My Dad actually worked with Nasa on designing a 21-axis milling machine to make one of the connecting rod designs. They went with another design in the end, but it was the highlight of his career, he was an AVID Arthur C. Clarke, and Isaac Asimov fan and working for Nasa on that machine was truly Da Bomb for him. He spent two years on the project, and I still have two of the proto-types from the program.
Aha! So, Bob's yer uncle... very clever.
