I see that idiot who attacked Chris Kirkland got 4 years Jail, He should be banned for life from all Football matches as well, we need to keep these nutters out of Sport in general

I hate to correct you, but he was only jailed for 4 months and will probably get out in two. (In my opinion, it should have been four years and the FA should also throw the book at both the club and the 'fans'.)

BTW: During his hearing, the court heard that he had been the subject of two football banning orders in the past, which he had breached four times.

My mistake Penfold i thought it said 4 Years, as you said it should have been,I'll bet we hear no more about it. Did you see the clip what was the steward doing just standing there, what a waste of space..

I did indeed see the steward standing there but I don't blame him for not jumping in. In today's litigation culture he would probably be leaving himself open for being sued if he so much as damaged a hair on the guy's head.

Sorry Tony, it's a foot the ball thing. Chris Kirkland is the goalkeeper for Sheffield Wednesday Football team who was assaulted by a Leeds United supporter. Unfortunately, Leeds have a reputation for attracting unsavoury types (whom I have had personal experience with when they visited Brighton and smashed the bones in my mates eye socket - he was working on reception at the casino at the time and no way involved with the footy) which is why I hope the Football Association throw the book at the club as well.

On a lighter note, I really do think Sir Terry captured the mob mentality and tribalism of football crowds very well in Unseen Academicals.
