Yea me neither Dotsie, in fact I have not even finished Long Earth yet for some reason I have not got around to it, just halfway through Night Watch on audio book and have downloaded Science of the Discworld III to listen to next.

Just started another Patterson c/o written, about the Olympics 2012.

Mary, who loaned it to me, says they must have given them quite a bit previous to the actual opening of the Olympics, as they got it pretty much spot on.

I think that's the same with a lot of people. Certainly was with me. The books really help you understand all the complicated feudal relationships that the TV series by necessity has to gloss over.

I'm giving up on A Casual Vacancy. I feel like I gave it a fair shot at 100+ pages in. The writing is not bad, but the story moves so slooooooowwwly. I was surprised it was 500 pages long. The story is just not that interesting.

Starship Troopers by Robert Heinlein. This has always been one of Sharlene's favourite books and, although I've seen the film, I've never read the book before. It's a long time since I saw the film, but seem to recall thinking there was something lacking in it. So I'm very curious to compare the two.
