Well that was a satisfactory ending to Rory and Amy's time in the Tardis.

There's some on BBC POV that think that Rory's ending was a bit meh, compared to the heartbreaking (so Moff tells us) departure of Amy.

I much preferred Rory to Amy.

We just finished watching the new series in Australia on Saturday. The season itself in terms of story arc was rather meh. Especially writing in a near-divorce in the season opener just to up the 'drama'. And to be frank, the finale, while handling the departure of Amy and Rory well, was rather average by Who standards.

However, Asylum of the Daleks gave a level of horror back to the Daleks and introduced Jenna-Louise Coleman in an interesting fashion, and A Town Called Mercy was a brilliant examination of the Doctor's morality. And while the actual story of The Power of Three wasn't much to write home about, I think we're going to be seeing more of Kate Lethbridge-Stewart, not to mention the story's villains, the Shakri and their masters the Tally.

BTW, before long, I'm going to be watching a quintet of classic series stories: Planet of Giants, The Krotons, The Ambassadors...*twang!*...of Death, Death to the Daleks, and The Greatest Show in the Galaxy.

A pity they didn't bring him in sooner, Mark Williams is a good actor. I've also seen him in Red Dwarf and recently in an episode of Hustle where he played an obnoxious ex-game show host turned property developer.

And tattooed. Don't forget tattooed!

Actually, I love that bit in the first episode where Petersen is tricked into doing the 'intelligence test' with the coin during George MacIntyre's funeral, and I think he's still doing it much later in the scene.

Me too, and I hope we get a scene or two in the rest of the series that addresses Rory and Amy's disappearance to his dad.

And come to that, what about her parents?

Indeed, up until it all went wibbly-wobbly-timey-wimey, and she woke up on her wedding day, and discovered her parents downstairs.
