Hurrah for sweeties arriving in Hungary. I was beginning to worry that they had been snaffled in the post somewhere! I love wine gums, too. Had to stop eating so many when the crown on my tooth kept coming off because they were so chewy!

They used to have an old sweets revival here sometimes in the shops when they had all the stuff you used to be able to buy at the kiosk at the corner with your pocket money.All the sherbets,the rasberry sweeties,the sticky gum rounders,the licky lipsticks,you get the idea.I got a bag of them once and was instantly reminded of the time I found a whole Deutsche Mark in the chip compartment of the swimming locker room box and went and spent it all on fizzy sherbet powder,sweets and lozenges and was heartily sick for three days because I needs must eat it all in one go.I was drunk with wealth!I never had more than a bar of chocolate a month when I was little if my sis or aunts or gran didn´t send or give me any more.

I guess that turned me into a chocaholic.I never turned sick on good Lindt milk chocolate,no matter the amount!

I enjoy thoroughly my sweeties from Janet and Sjoerd, and my parents are glad to "help" me in it, they particularly cherish salty liquorices

Taken the choco bars into custody, to make sure nobody else gets their hands on them!!!. The fruit sweets are lovely, but I found the fudge (caramel) type sweets very, very, sweet.

I will keep them at home for the weekends, when I get cravings for sweet stuff.

This is an idea I got from the discussion on another thread and I'd be interested to see if anyone wants to take part.

The idea is you list your name and country and then people contact you by PM and ask to do an exchange of traditional sweets/candy for your region or country. So they send you something and you send them something. Try not to go overboard on this or it could get rather pricey. The items can be sweets, chocolate or some other edible item that is unique to your country or region.

I mentioned in the other thread that I first got to try Dutch salty licorice this way when we did an exchange on another site. It was very weird, but I got to like it. I seem to remember sending Lossin Dant, which is a traditional Welsh mint.

So - if you want to take part, list your user name and country below.

lossin dant is the traditional mint? I mean lossin dant literally means mint (I think... it's been a while since I spoke welsh to anyone) ....... ok so this was a pointless post, sorry.....
