That's wonderful Pooh! :D

Sure it was sad, but there's nothing wrong with that - it's an important part of education. And it ends on a positive note and that's fine. I think you've done a great job of writing about a sensitive subject!

Certainly have *resists urge to hug pooh but goes for the Gloob instead*

It's hard enough for adults to cope with death, let alone Alzheimers, so anything that can deal with those issues honestly and simply and with a positive slant too is great - very nice touch with the 'be with my wife' part too. :)

I think it's important to remember the first verse of the first chapter:
The Gloob of Thannook,
A most curious chappie.
A smile on his face
Every day, always happy.
No crying for he,
Not ever a frown.
A positive fellow
Who never feels down.

The Gloob likes and believes in himself, and that is what is important. His parents obviously gave him a sense of worth, which is a priceless gift to bestow.

Great tale, pooh - but where is Chapter 7?

Chapter 7 will be ready soon. I haven't forgotten about it.

The original ending was as follows;

The Gloob calls Lady P to go for a walk in the woods with Poggy and Scrunch. Lady P can't go coz Poggy is sicky. The Gloob and Scrunch go, and meet a lost bear cub. The enraged mother bear comes and as the Gloob is running away, he trips. The mother bear is just about to kill the Gloob when Scrunch jumps up and bites the bear, thus saving the Gloob's life. The bear hits Scrunch and kills him. The Gloob is burying Scrunch when Lady P and Poggy AND 2 puppies show up. One of the puppies has been bog-rolling. The Gloob adopts the bog-rolling puppy.

Without reading how the original tale-ending sounds in verse, it is hard to judge which version I would prefer, but the bear version sounds a bit 'Disney-ish'.

I'm still looking forward to reading Chapter 7, though! :D

I just knew it would have been one of the doggies

Still - bog-rolling puppies are more 'lovably' gritty than bog-roll towing puppies which definitely are too OTT Disney

I choked up! I actually choked up.

I'm feeling so generous I won't point out the typo from the previous verse that Jan missed :P
What's up with this glass? Excuse me? Excuse me? This is my glass? I don't think so. My glass was full! And it was a bigger glass!
