Hah! Dunno why I haven't thought of that before. You might remember, that some time in the past I complained that my spell checker always underlines "you". Not anymore.

Thought so. Thanks. Somehow it's only the UK-English that seems to be messed up. I don't get these false positives when I use US-English. But I hate the way US-English marks colour, neighbour, theatre and the like as incorrect.

Apparently Americans are up in arms about English english creeping in to their language. But I've noticed I've started using Australian, especially 'no worries'. It's all Dels fault!

I'm always switching to Americanisms. I almost always say "cell phone" rather than "mobile phone" for example.

I always love it when a Britishism sneaks into an American TV show - such as when Chief O'Brien loses his temper in an episode of DS9 and shouts "bollocks!"

I'm not sure I can blame Del, but for some bizzare reason I've fallen into saying 'No worries!' quite a bit at work. I probably shouldn't be bothered by being an Australian talking like an Australian, but I feel like such an ocker

I say 'no worries' a lot still. Only spent 3 months in Australia 12 years ago. I blame Del though.

That was a 'nickname' I (and a few others) sometimes used for aces when dealing Blackjack to Americans (and other nationalities) on the cruise ships. It was quite amusing pointing to their cards and saying "You've got a pair of bollocks, would you like to split them?"
