It took every ounce of willpower I had to scooch my bum off that platform into nothingness. That's after going up a tall, wobbly ladder and getting on a postage stamp sized platform high up in a tree.
I think I clenched every muscle I have. They did a rope course up in the trees before that, and at least I didn't get talked into that. It was amazing watching the kids though! Thing 1 looked like a pro! Her ground partner was wonderful. She and this classmate had to call safety questions back and forth before she could continue on the next part of the course. He was such a sweet boy, too nervous to go up himself, and fretted over her being up there. But they were a wonderful team and got everything right!
Since it was just Thing 2 and I yesterday (Dad is helping at camp), she wanted to rake all the leaves into one big pile so she could jump in it. More sore muscles! But still fun.
