Here are some pics of the front garden. We just finished it yesterday.

I think it will look better on a sunny day. It was just starting to rain. The pea stone is also really dirty. I'm hoping the rain will clean it and it will look better. :)

The first picture looks like you've got a giant muffin on your lawn.

That garden does look like a lot of back breaking work went in to it Con! I hope you've got time to sit and admire it now :)

Great job on the garden Con!

We put the plants in over the last couple of months. Then we put the mulch down last weekend. We picked up the stones last Wednesday and the pea stone was delivered on Friday. So we did all of the edging stones and pea stone on Friday from about 5pm to 7:15pm. Pretty quick really.
I'm dubious about using the pea stone under the edging stones. It should really be crushed stone. I'll see what happens over the winter. If it does a lot of shifting, it's pretty easy to replace the pea stone with crushed stone.

Thanks everyone.
I know we will have time to enjoy it; but not now; it's pouring out there! It will be a good test though.

it might settle a bit in the winter mate as is non-cohesive material, but once its settled just top it up and it should be fine
