Not sure if I've posted on here before but I'm a School Learning Support Officer and work with many children of different ages in different classes who have autism, aspbergers, ADD,ADHD etc it can be quite challenging and hard at times but I do love it.

I do all sorts. My passion is horses and when I do paying work with them I teach riding and ground-school horses. I'm too old, too fat and too chicken to ride youngsters any more, so I only do the ground work.

I used to write, but never published. I'm trying to get started again, it's hard nowadays - I blame the pills.

I clean houses. Oddly, I quite enjoy that, especially one place where I work for a wonderful lady who is a joy to work for.

I care for my disabled grown up boy at home.

And I'm an Avon Lady. And right now, I'm not doing any of it because I can't stop reading about this weird place called Discworld and my head's all in some spaced out place where I can't think straight. And no, I don't do drugs (not the kind you're not allowed anyway) and I don't even drink alcohol. And I don't think it's the books either. I'm soooo boring.

An aside: I notice that my spellchecker has underlined 'discworld'! Maybe some nice admin god can add it to the dictionary on the board? Don't know if it's possible, but... (mind, it's underlined 'spellchecker' too, and I'm sure that ought to be a single word by now.)

Margi, you should be able to add 'Discworld' yourself. When the spellchecker underlines it, right click your mouse and you'll get a pop up with suggestions and an option to "Add to dictionary".

I always have to teach my computers all about Discworld as they don't have a clue.

I'm so glad you are enjoying Discworld. I envy you that you have so many to look forward to reading for the first time.

By not smoking, drinking or any other nefarious activities. But I do have a wonderful spotty horse who I guess is enough narcotic for anyone.

I love Wincanton: I thought I'd hate it when I moved here. It is the biggest town I've lived in since I left Oxford when I was 16 but I love it. It's big enough to have a few shops, small enough to be villagy but big enough not to have the feeling that you can't breathe without someone listening in, and best of all it is classless. No one cares if you're a duke or a dustman, we're all equals here. And of course, there's the Portal...
