R.I.P. PATRICK SWAYZE

R.I. P. Patrick Swayze

Patrick Swayze, the hunky actor who danced his way into moviegoers' hearts with "Dirty Dancing" and then broke them with "Ghost," died Monday after a battle with pancreatic cancer. He was 57.

Off-screen, he was an avid conservationist who was moved by his time in Africa to shine a light on "man's greed and absolute unwillingness to operate according to Mother Nature's laws," he told the AP in 2004.

RIP Patrick. He was of course great in Ghost & Dirty Dancing, but I loved his role in Keeping Mum. But that was just his acting. Very sad :(

RIP Patrick. My memory of him was seeing him sing on Top of the Pops (She's like the wind I think was the name of the song or that was the first line)while his wife danced (ballet) it was beautiful

I always liked him as the evil Jim Cunningham in Donnie Darko. :)

RIP Patrick :( I think I only saw him in Point Break and some King Solomon's mines miniseries. It's always sad when someone dies that young

RIP Patrick. May you be pain free and at peace now.

TV Chef Keith Floyd has also died.

Good Man, absolutely devoted to his wife. I dread the media reaction. In my Heart, He IS a good man, no matter what they say. He lived his life in a good way and loved with abandon.

Look as though tis the first seeing,
Laugh like there is nobody listening,
Dance like there is nobody watching,
Love like there is no tomorrow.
Aha! So, Bob's yer uncle... very clever.

Did any of you see him in M*A*S*H?

I think it might have been one of his first roles.

He played a young soldure (*sic*) who was dying of cancer.

Although I've heard a lot of people criticize his acting ability, I've always liked him.

It was probably a case of us not knowing who he was at the time he was on M*A*S*H.
