Congrats on the boat picture, Penners--well done, that man!
Tony, I couldn't understand what you were describing this morning--but by golly they do disappear. Penners, do you have any explanation. It looks as if the building is empty--is it being torn down? Maybe the Google crew photographed on different days?
Penners, I like all the pictures, but the rat is definitely the weakest one (at least for me). Part of it is that I just don't like rats even when they're eating daisies (I think). But the picture doesn't pull me in like your other color photos. It's just too simple and doesn't really display your skill I think. My favorite is the 2nd one--and Deceptive is definitely the word for these reflective portraits. And I love the fact that I keep finding more and more different reflections--and am never sure whether something is really there or is a distorted reflection. And the use of people in the picture (or reflexions of people) really adds to the picture. While I admire the 3rd picture, and I'm sure that it shows a great deal of technical expertise (and patience waiting for the stairs to be clear), my first reaction was "This picture makes me dizzy." Some of that is the shape of the building, and the walkway. Does it indicate that the city council for London is "going in circles"?

But this picture doesn't draw me into the photo in the way the 2nd one does. I can admire it--but I don't go into it. Now whether that's what the judges are looking for you'll have a better idea than I will. Did you get the squirrel picture done? I'd really like to see something else to consider rather than the rat picture. But, very impressive!
