Quote Game

On the Discworld group from Libraything there is a game similar to this, thought we might have a go too :wink:
It works like this one person will write a quote from any Pratchett book(blanking out any names) and then others have to guess which book it is from. The winner chooses the next quote and so on.

I'll start:

".......... lifted an eyebrow with the care of one who, having found a piece of caterpillar in his salad, raises the rest of the lettuce."
A poster outside one shop urged people to Dig For Victory, as if it were some kind of turnip.

I recognized the character immediately as Lord Vetinari, but it took me a bit longer to find the book (Making Money).

Try this one ...

'You threw it away,' said *****, full of reproach. 'You always do. That's why you never use the right commands, and that it why I did not "go away and stick my head up a duck's bottom" yesterday. You have an appointment to see Lord Vetinari in half an hour.'
Going to my school was an education in itself. Which is not to be confused with actually getting an education (Schultz)

Sounds like a disorganiser to me (can't remember what fruit it's named after, the Gooseberry?). Is it from 'Thud!'?
