Yay! How did it go with your mum? Was her op OK?
What's up with this glass? Excuse me? Excuse me? This is my glass? I don't think so. My glass was full! And it was a bigger glass!

Yes thanks, Dots.

She rang this morning, and tells me that she's stopped using the patch at night (she won't listen to the doctors!) and she doesn't need her glasses anymore for watching the TV.

Yup. And in the evenings. Be brave, people!

I used to have a 3 dongle, and it was perfectly sufficient for my needs, but then after 2 yrs they did "maintenance" on the local transmitter and it never worked properly again.

I then stupidly got myself a contract (2 yrs) phone in March so that I could use it to access the net, and I can't get a ruddy signal at home. Apparently I live in a blackspot for internet signals.

I'm now using Phil & Sarah's wifi, in exchange for Phil using the contract phone for the new job he starts next week.

Phil and Sarah are really kind :D Good to see you aroud more, Bouncy, and also that your mom's doing OK (how stubborn they are, right? My granny won't do basically anything the doctors say she should either... "Nah, it's OK, I'm fine, I don't need those pills... and nooo, those exercises are sooo hard, no good in doing them" :P )
Listen.

Yup. Mother/Grandmother always knows better than the people who have done four or five years of medical training.

Looks like I've skipped to the Year of the Whelk.

It won't load up now. Tells me I'm on local and internet, but the browser just sits with a blank white page.

Think it's the same problem as the router at work - needs to be unplugged and plugged in again, occasionally.

Cest lavvie, as they say in France.
