The key is to SAY ABSOLUTELY NOTHING when she comes home with a shopping bag full of new shoes or clothes or cosmetics or receives a package delivered to your house. That way you can build up a reserve of "I never said anything about the _____ you bought"s the next time she questions one of your purchased.
