That's ok - people can spend their money on whatever they want, but obviously, the manufacturers don't want everyone to keep their original one, so they'll keep adding little tweaks to make people want to ditch their perfectly good model for a new one. It wouldn't do if everyone was happy with the model they had - the company would go bust in next to no time.

No tony I think you may be right.. I've got one of the earlier ones the 3, I'm happy with it and read on average 4-5 books a week. All are backed up on the Mac, so i delete them from the kindle as i finish them. We got Becks the Kindle 4 and I dont think its as good. And now the fire, basically just a small tablet. Its got lost against all of the other tablets now.
Wont change but might go play with one in Waterstones next month. Got an Ipad and its useless as a reader. Think the fire will be the same...
And as to the autograph on the kindle, why not think it would make a great cover. Especially if was dun for charity.
My 2p as usual.
