Looks like I did give the game away. Yes, it's The Testament of Dr Mabuse.
I've lived for over 2000 years, and not all of them were good ones. I've made many mistakes. And it's about time I did something about that.

Oh well, just because I took a lot of time going through google and imdb and wikipedia, but thanks for the second image.
Clue 1 alone wouldn't have been enough :P

I'm not good with the old movies, but is that Shirley MacLaine?

Not sure if it is from that though...

It's not,i just looked up The Trouble with Harry? some more and she looked quite different in that(other haircut and just a bit younger still).
On further reflection i'm now going for Some Came Running with Frank Sinatra(in the film, not in the screenshot ;) )?

well, since that's not Clint Eastwood it can't be Two Mules for Sister Sarah, the only Shirley Maclaine film I'm familiar with... so I give up

She's one of my favourite actresses, but I'm stumped on that one. :?

Well, I'll ninja in with an easy one.

Noooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo! :o

Er, I mean yes. I was hoping for at least one bad guess before someone got it. Hence my reaction. Didn't think it'd be that easy... :shifty:

Sorry Q. The metal hands trying to stop his falling and failing was a very memorable bit of the film. ;)

If someone else wants a go, please feel free. :D
