So, we went to Lisa's brother's birthday party today and guess who we got to play with:









We also got to hold: two different snakes, a giant snail, a bearded dragon, a salamander, a chameleon and a millipede. Good fun.

That's the first time I'd held a tarantula. She was so light, just a slight tickle when she moved one of her arms.

Jason you are brave! I could have held everything except the spider and the millipede.

I've held a giant millipede when I was in South Africa and shared my shower with a scorpion running over my feet (large claws, small sting so it was not a dangerous one) without any problem. However, I would have freaked if someone held a spider, let alone a tarantula, anywhere near me (I even jump when I see spiders in computer games).

How cool is that, would love to hold one of those. My daughter had an animal experience day at her day care yesterday. They got to look at/touch fresh and salt water crocodile babies, bearded dragons, water monitor, shingle-back lizard and pythons. She loved it, even have a picture of her with a python around her neck.
