I'm all in favor of charity and the cause BUT it absolutely amazes me that in some of these cases 50 people are willing to pay upwards of $8,000 or more for these things...for some people there is no recession, apparently.

I know! :shock: I suppose if you're artsy you could always buy a plastic costume one and do your own.

Those are awesome. it wouldn't surprise me at all that people would pay any price for them.

I can't see them from work but I think these are the same ones I saw at Star Wars Celebration VI. Amazingly creative - it was a real treat to see them up close and in person :D
