Water spouts (tornadoes that form over water) on Lake Michigan.

It's been rather lovely down here, at least to us cold climate adjusted people. Meanwhile, back home they've had torrential rainfall and landslides!

Where are you at present, Selkie? And where do you normally reside?

Selkie lives on the beautiful Shetland Island of Yell. The scenery there is breathtaking. :D

Niiiiice.

Wouldn't fancy living there in the depths of a stormy winter, mind! A tad chilly, methinks.

We've had gorgeous weather here all week! :D So nice to have the windows open and not have to turn the air on.

On my phone sitting in the hallway with H. Lightning strikes so loud we were yelling and still having trouble talking. Big storm. B.O.M. says over 10,000 lightning strikes in that storm. Hoping my roof is okay. Its been pin drop quiet for five mins... and here comes the second bigger nastier storm behind it. I can hear sirens everywhere. Police. Emergency vehicles. M just rang and asked me to pick her up... no! She knew this was coming and still went out. She can sit in the mall nice and safe til its safe for me to drive.

And this isn't even one of the worst we get. Summer storms! They say its going to be a doozey of a year this summer. Joy joy.

I love big noisy storms. And when I'm in Tucson (which is in the desert) everyone gets very excited when there's a storm. That's because it doesn't rain there very much. The smell of the desert after the rain is wonderful! :D
