 Maybe we should organise a sweetie swap.

Everyone taking part would buy say £2 worth of local sweeties and send them to someone overseas, who returns the favour.

Anyone interested?

Sounds like a plan.

I've sent Galaxy chocolate to MC before now!

We did it on another site and it worked quite well. I even got a taste for Dutch salty licorice. And stroopwafels of course - although you can get them over here now.

I know fisherman's friend. and if you've seen the show Misfits, you know WHY i know of them

But tony, without marshmallows, you wouldn't have s'mores. I couldn't face a world without s'mores.

The thing is, I totally don't have a sweet tooth. The mere thought of anything sweet makes my teeth ache - that's why I'd prefer something like Altoids or Fishermans Friends. Even the graham crackers you need to make s'mores with are too sweet for my liking. :?

Never mind a sweetie exchange - I'd rather be doing a cheese exchange.

Yeah, via express mail :D.
I'd be all for it, though. I love cheeses.

After several weeks on in a package overseas, you bet there's a lot of life.

When I was staying at my friend's flat in Maastricht, I bought some limburger cheese. What a stink! It was delicious though! :D My friend doesn't like cheese and I was afraid of stinking her fridge out, so I ate it all in one go.

Ah, I have a piece of limburger in my fridge right now and I'll eat (some of) it later :D.

Offtopic: Since you said "flat", which is the word I remember learning at school: Is it typically British? Can't remember having it seen in the wild before. Other people seem to prefer "apartment". Or is a flat a special kind of apartment?

Apartment is the posh word for a flat. It's probably just a British thing.

ETA estate agents will always call it an apartment. But I don't think Mr Dotsie's ever used the word in his life :)
