Hobbies.......what do you do in your spare time?

Gaming a bit, but lately i've been working on video editing projects. recently i got hold of Source Filmmaker and have been messing around with that, learning how things work and have a few projects i've been working on. and because of that i've had to get Blender, a computer animation and 3d model builder (since SFM doesn't have everything i need.) but i know less about that than SFM. all are WIPs.

Very cool!! Sounds complicated.

Other than reading, I enjoy crochet, beading, cross-stitch, embroidery, travel, hiking, and camping. In college I also enjoyed weight training and rock climbing. CU, if I had the opportunity I would also be into horseback riding. Lately I've been considering taking classes in ballroom dancing. It would be a fun way to exercise.

Go for both! Even if they turn out not to be your thing, you will be so glad you tried them.

I don't really have one hobbie. Downtime is generally spent in the outdoors. Winter last year I became possesed by the spirits of nana's past and started knitting. I thought I'd really get into the whole thing but I just ended up knitting scarves, lots of scarves. My husband had a vaguely concerned look on his face during this period until I said I was gonna give them to charities, which I did. Some I gave later as Christmas presents. 40 degree heat here in December & I'm giving people scarves. Ah well, there's always another winter.

Blender seems to be a hell of a tool. But it also seems that getting used to it is more difficult than getting used to any other programme. At least in my experience. Normally, I can intuitively work with most software after some minutes to an acceptable degree.
Blender I tried several times over the last 5 years and always ended up rather frustrated.

I love Lippizzaners. Very beautiful animals.

I used to ride as a kid and an adult, I gave up when my shoulder dislocated a number of times. It only happened once whilst schooling a horse, but I really didn't fancy sitting on horseback with my shoulder hanging out I have driven horse and carriages and would like to do that again some day. But the cost of the kit is just too prohibitive at present. Maybe when I get some time (haha) and money (hahahaha) I will build one myself, or get a knackered one off ebay and restore it.

My wife still rides, as do the kids. We have a pony that all 3 are supposed to be able to ride. Unfortunately he has a massive fear of tractors and bolts off in the opposite direction when he sees one! As that's not particularly safe for all concerned, we are hoping to find him a new home away from tractors, then I suppose the search will be on for another horse (although maybe in a few months time - horses are hard work and a break would be good). I keep on saying that I would like a heavy horse such as a Shire, Clydesdale or Ardennes. But apparently I'm not allowed as my wife is only 5'2" and says she would look like a pea sat on top of one of those And the food that they can get through is bloomin expensive

I garden, or at least I attempt not to kill all growing things in my vicinity. I have been cursed with a love of plants but lacking green fingers
I paint and draw, do crafty things with paper, and I compute Interenet is one of my most time-consuming hobbies
Sometimes I get the urge to knit.
I read a lot.

One of the things I look forward to most in the summer is the veggie garden, so I guess that's a seasonal hobby. I like to try growing at least one new thing a year. I've got hubby half talked into building more raised beds so I can grow more.
