In this instance it means "haven't". It can mean either, we English-speakers are quite flexible with our slang ;)

The girls and I just finished reading an awesome book called The Girl Who Could Fly. The main character had a southern accent and said "ain't" a lot. Apparently I did a good job on the voice because Thing 2 loved the way it sounded and now wants to use "ain't" in every sentence, which I find completely unacceptable. :roll: :lol:

I love the way Lyra in the His Dark Materials trilogy says "ent" instead of ain't. :D

:lol: I'll try it! She likes to do the accent and everything. Actually, if I'd just kept quiet she would have probably lost interest. :roll:
