I like the occasional marshmellow. For some reason I've never tried them toasted, though.
Now, Altoids are really great. Only tried the regular mint ones, though. I imagine I'd like the cinnamon flavoured ones, too, since I also like Big Red.
Never really got the hang of wintergreen. I know it is popular in the US, perhaps in the UK, too. Can't recall any German product with that aroma.
It comes from (m)ethyl salicylate, which some plants accumulate. It's also an ester that is easy to synthesize and I used to let pupils synthesize it at school. Strangely, most pupils DID know the smell but couldn't really say what it was.
