Idea for Going Postal cast

Postby Aries » Fri Sep 12, 2008 8:29 pm

Since we have ideas about who should be in Guards!Guards! i personally would love to see Doug Jones play Mr Gryle. I think he would play the part perfectly and physically would look great as the banshee, I know it will probably never happen but its nice to dream. :D

I think David Tennant would make a good Moist von Lipwig AKA Albert Spangler. :)

I think Tennant is too recognisable to be Moist. How about John Simm, who played The Master as Moist?

Simon Pegg? A bit off topic but I Have an idea Nick Frost would make a good Fred Colon!

And what about Carrie-Anne Moss as Adora Belle? ;-)

ohhhhhhhhh.

Just the merest suggestion of a Edgar Wright/Simon Pegg helmed Discworld movie made me very happy!

That has to happen!

Mind you, Carrie-Anne Moss can be practically recognized on Kidby´s cover...

I think Moist will probably be David Jason as he has starred in the other 2 Mob films Albert was great,Rincewind less so, I know hes too old but he is too old(and tubby ) to play Rincewind as well and he managed (just) to pull it off. My choice for Moist would be someone like John Simm would be Ideal

I just hope that there are more scene setting shots of landscapes and building exteriors, that has been my only complaint for the previous two films that and the dodgy dragon CG.

They must keep in the scenes with Princess running the clacks tower, that's one of the best scenes in Going Postal it sends a chill down my spine every time I read it, about sending home on the overhead.

Oh good thought!

In the same mode he used to be Chaucer, he'd rock it.
